This bridge was only about three or four inches wide. The bikes
were to heavy to carry, so we rolled them over the bridge slowly
and carefully. By the time that John got out the river, his legs

and tea was a welcome treat. We will always remember their great

These "mani walls" are often found in towns and on the
trail side. The walls are made of hundreds of rocks that have
been carved with "Om mani padme hum." or similar mantras.
"Om mani padme hung", is the mantra of the Bodhisattva
Chenrezig, the Bodhisattva of Boundless Compassion, of which the
Dalai Lama is said to be an incarnation. Tholing, Tibet.
