This journey started in the heart
of central China, from the city of Lanzhou. From there we headed
westward to Xining, and into the area Tibetans call Amdo, or
Northeastern Tibet. Once we crossed the barren basin that leads
to Golmud we turned south to Lhasa, the capital of Tibet. After
stocking up on food and resting a good bit we moved south through
south central Tibet, passing Mt. Everest, and finally descending
into Nepal. The journey came to its end more than 2000 miles
/ 3333KM later in the always pleasant city of Kathmandu, Nepal. |
