we were up above 14,000 feet (4200m) there was not as much available
in the way of services.

headed to Kala Patar, a ridge at 18,200 feet (5400m) that provides
excellent views of Mt. Everest.

is gray looking "riverbed" is actually the Kumbu glacier
that comes from the face of Mt. Everest.
